True, and different brands use different colors and fonts. Point is: none are practically different. All 4 prevent hospitalization at 100% - actually turning covid into a another flu variant, and that’s the main goal.

Agree with that...I am just saying we don’t have to attack someone for being afraid to take Astra...me myself encourage vaccination in my circle,so to clear it I am not an anti-vaxer lol

It’s like during a thunderstorm and telling someone who stays away from tree they are more likely to die from something else.

This is.... such a bad comparison

What? Look at how many ppl get seriously ill from vaccines... 1 in tens of thousands... covid 1 in half a dozen

1 in many hundreds of thousands of shots (if not millions) make u so sick it leads to death... covid 1 in 100 to 200

Like ppl really need to factor in the RISK OF NOT TAKING IT not just the risk of taking it

Not a risk I’m willing to take. I may be the one in a million.

I literally work in the wellness and pharmaceutical industry. I know somebody who has diabetes and their specialist urged them NOT to take AstraZeneca because they had diabetic patients in the ER from it.

Yeah you have higher chances of dying from other reasons but why would I and many others want to increase their chances and opportunities to die?

My body, my choice. I'm fortunate to be able to work from home and I'll be waiting for Pfizer or Moderna. Nobody is stopping anybody from getting AstraZeneca.

Exept every dose that goes to waste is added time for ppl still waiting for one and potential lives saved :madge:

Just being honest here but you can't really blame the media, it's a damned if they do and damned if they don't situation.

How could they not report on almost every country halting giving the AZ vaccine, or the multiple investigations into the multiple cases of possible blood clots. If they didn't then the news would get out and all the conspiracy heads would have a field day accusing them of not reporting on it and aiding the antivax movement.

As for the sensationalism of it all, I mean, the whole pandemic has had any and all news become headlines, it's affected everyone's lives of course they are going to cover it as a headline.

On topic of the blood clots themselves, I have to be honest, as a hypochondriac I understand the irrationality of my choice but I would be lying if I said I wouldn't be scared to take this vaccine. I understand just how rare it is but it can be seriously terrifying for someone like me. I wish people would empathise more.

I did not say dont report the cases. If u re-read what i said i was talking about emphasizing them so much or making it one of front and repeating news

U can report something happened without putting so much emphasis on each individual case of a bad reaction that will obviously start to play in ppls minds who are too stupid to keep proper perspective on things.

Some ppl will not think about the fact that it was 2 or 3 cases in a country that adminjstered millions of thoughts. They are just gonna see it on the news frequently and associate frequent news as something thats a big deal

The media can report on things without blowing them out of proportion... the fact that they do for sensationalism and ratings in my opinion makes them guilty also.

They know ppl will be glued to tv when they report on side effects and the milk the sh*t out of those ratings. They know exactly what they are doing :madge:

Yeah... and u may be the 1 in 500 to 1000 or so that die of covid (odds of not getting it at all factored in)

Which odds are better?

Edit: i also wanna add in that mRNA being relatively new probably has a higher than 1 in 1 million chance of having some longer term harm were not yet aware of... so im surprised skeptical ppl actually prefer pfizer or moderna over more traditional vaccines like astrazebeca or J&J where we know for certainty odds of bad effects are expetionally low :toofunny:

Yes we do bc every day they’re waiting is a day they could catch covid and damage things for themselves and others. If all vaccines are approved to achieve the goal (keeping people out the hospital, and reducing covid to a mild cold) then it makes no sense to wait

Tbf only people under 55 shouldn’t take AZ (until they further investigate what’s tea) but no one has even brought that up yet.

For example, the woman in Italy who died after getting the vaccine, the people getting the blood clots.

Imagine your evidence being “tHe PeOpLe GeTtInG bLoOd ClOtS” & nothing else 🤣 like you didn’t even post a link to a source…

tbf though I wouldn’t take AZ just like I didn’t take Johnson & Johnson who’ve just been paused cause their vaccine was causing blood clots. I thankfully got Pfizer who doesn’t seem to have any issues so fingers crossed. I don’t think anyone should be shamed into getting a vaccine just because it’s available & other countries are suffering without. Always take into account the risks & determine what’s best for you.

Countries like mine are barely getting any vaccines while privileged countries and their privileged people are literally wasting doses that could save lives. What a f*cking joke.

So people should just risk the serious side effects cause your country is going without? No. This whole “be grateful you even have vaccines” thing is disgusting. It really sucks that your country doesn’t have them but to shame others into getting a vaccine they’ve determined isn’t good for them is bull. I wouldn’t take AZ, I also didn’t take Johnson & Johnson for the same exact reasons & their vaccine was just paused for serious side effects. But since you’re so willing to not be selfish then how about we send the left over J&J to y’all? Oh, you wouldn’t take them cause it’s dangerous? Ok then.

No need to mock. I’m not trying to stop anyone else getting the vaccine. I’m not taking the vaccine.
