Is Timid Regice good? A friend just sent me this as a gift and well i honestly prefered Modest... It has 31 IV's in Special Attack tho

Oh and it's Frost Breath good? i still don't understand how critical hits damage is calculated, it should hit like Ice Beam right?

A Modest Regice is perferable since it only has a 50 base speed, which is fairly low.  It has a 100 base Special attack which is alright and with a 31 IV plus 252  Ev in special attack may boost it to around 140-150 @ lvl 50.

Frost breath if good for low level pokemon early game since it always crits, but there are better options. Ice Beam is always good. Add in Thunder wave and youre golden.

Critical damage (as of X/Y generation) is "Damage x 1.5". For example, if Regice used thunderbolt and it crits its would look like this:

"90 (base Thunderbolt damage) x 1.5 = 135 damage. That 135 damage then accounts for Regice's Special attack stat and the opponents typing and special defense stat, then calculates how much HP to take away from the opponent.

I prefer it Modest too but i got this one as a gift and i don't have any place to find more Regice's :crossed: i'm not going to use it, i'll try with the GTS

Btw i just had a battle with a friend, i don't understand how is he so smart :toofunny: he used Beat Up on his Terrakion and got a +5 boost on Attack. he's dead to me now

Theres a few ways to cancel that boost. Topsy-turvey would be really funny (-6 stat levels lol), Roar/Dragon Tail/Whirlwind, a burn status helps as well as a focus sash just in case. Wide Guard cancels out any Rock slides.

Spiritomb has a few diverse movesets depending if you want it offensive of defensive.

If Offensive: Adamant nature + Pressure ability.

Moveset: Shadow Sneak + Sucker Punch helps with attacking bonus. have it hold Black Glasses for boosted sucker punch.

If Defensive: Calm or Careful (either one works)

Moveset: Pain Split (really fun to play with) or Rest (add sleep talk and its better) and Foul Play works well. Have it hold Leftovers for more survivability

Both movesets work really well with Will-o-Wisp (Burned victims have their Attack power cut in half)

Hope this helps

I was thinking in making Spiritomb Quiet with Nasty Plot, and using it on a Trick Room team. Do you think is a good idea? Thank you for your time Canon :)

If you want a stat boosting Spiritomb, it would be better to use Calm Mind w/ a Bold nature as it increases both Sp.Attack and Sp.Defense, which helps it stick around. Since fairy type is only super affective and Play Rough is the ONLY powerful physical fairy move: Calm Mind > Nasty Plot.

Uhmm the one I have (from your Friend Safari :teehee: ) is Adamant with 252 HP and 252 Atk :P

The moveset is: Shadow Sneak, Sucker Punch, Pursuit, and Memento

I prefer Memento over Will-O-Wisp because if I predict correctly, then I have a free turn to set-up with another Pokemon which would make it a lot easier to bulldoze through their team :creepflop:

I think Spiritomb's best used towards the later half of the match once the opponent's Pokemon are already weakened, because it can kill off weakened Pokemon with Shadow Sneak and Sucker Punch, and Pursuit if the opponent switches out :awesome:
