This type of take is so boring and outdated I know it's 'not that deep' but I just find these takes so frustratingly stupid.

Imagine lockdowns without social media to stay in touch with friends and family. Imagine all the amazing art that people wouldn't be able to see and be inspired by. Would movements like BLM even have happened if it weren't for social media? And in the case of celebrities like Gaga and Katy, would they even have a fanbase without social media?

She's right. I took a six month break from social media, during lockdown. It was wonderful for my mental health: I felt liberated from the constant barrage of awful, depressing news, and people arguing over misinformed opinions.

Social media is toxic as hell.

Edit: I'm old enough to remember life before social media even existed.

Everyone always thinks the other person is the one with misinformed opinions tho and not them. Thats the problem

Oh come on... everyone is entitled to sometimes complain about stuff that is sometimes a bit tiring...

Everyone sometimes complains about their job even though they generally like it, right? I do that sometimes, because there is always something that sometimes bothers you a bit, but you still do it, because not everything about it is bad. It's just certain aspects of it. So why not speak about it?

And Gaga has spoken the same way about fame many times... and then some people will go : Well then stop doing what you do! Bla bla... so what?! Everybody does it. It's human and it's ok to sometimes complain about stuff. Period.
