I’m taking that as a “I see you here’s your closure” move. I don’t see ARTPOP II ever being released (too much pain and trauma on her part to relive plus her label probably won’t want to) but that’s for the people pushing really hard.

Yes and no. She also did not confirm either way if the album will ever be released or not. Also she did not have to mention that the album was ahead of its time - possibly hinting a re-issue of the album. Kinda like The Fame/The Fame Monster.

Maybe there are some talks and they probably will release a song from Act II as a test run. If the single actually does well, they might release the entire Act II.

Spoiler

I could also be reading too much into this.Meme Kombucha GIF

Really happy to see that Gaga acknowledged it!!! Especially since some people actively tried to sweep the petition under the rug. Sad minds. Oh well, they lost again, like usual :vegas:

I think it's amazing she acknowledged fans asking for Act 2 and buying ARTPOP everywhere but feels more like she has clearly moved on. Gaga has grown sooo much since then that I think looking back at what she did during that era is like when Facebook shows you what you used to post 10 years ago and you're like "lmao why did I say that".

I honestly don't think it's her decision to release it. I mean, she would've done it back then because thats what she wanted. Interscope wouldn't want to take attention from Chromatica and given the circumstances of the world, it wouldn't make sense to release a whole scrapped album when she can't even tour for the one she released a year ago. Seems more like they'd be wasting money right now when they can save all these songs for a B-Sides when she retires or wants to take a break. I don't know but that's just my idea.

Tbh interscope isn’t  the label who wants massive promo or pushing for money...And in gaga’s case she controls the promo too(we all saw that both Gaga and interscope don’t care much for the promo)

I hope they allow her to do stuff like this because you're right. Interscope and Gaga seem to have a pretty good relationship and don't want to exploit her like they did when Troy Carter was her manager. Gaga does have a lot of weight on her career moves now (especially since Joanne) and if they manage to come up with an agreement to release these songs it'd be amazing. I wonder if they're even finished or would need to call producers and do mixing and stuff like that.

I would absolutely love to hear Act 2, but if it never happens I'm at peace with it. What intrigues me the most is that there is probably so much more that we don't know about the AP era, and although she's heavily alluded to how traumatic the experience was she's not been super upfront with really what that means. Id love for her to be in a place where she feels comfortable with sharing that story, because it was brutal what happened and the way she was able to turn it around is inspiring. I hope that it gets the attention it deserves.

Not the bore worms!

such a lovely surprise to wake up to these tweets this morning :bradley:

I can't believe she actually said anything! Even if nothing comes of it, it really feels special that the fanbase could come together this way... a lot of the time these days this kind of thing doesn't seem very possible tbh.

And to have Gaga acknowledge it warms my monster heart so much

REALITY

ARTPOP was the album that made me become a Little Monster. It's so amazing that she's finally acknowledging it again

I don't think that this is an indication that she'll release an Act II, but it's at least a great thing that she acknowledged it.
