Fearless (Taylor's Version) Released

It's so weird, to think I was 13 when this album first came out... I remember making fun of the You Belong With Me MV with friends. Today, I just worship everything Taylor does :smh:

Sorry Taylor Swift GIF

Fearless is an appropriate word for her, there's a reason she's reigning over the music industry right now. This woman is a force to be reckoned with, the rerecordings are top quality.

She's insane for this, not very familiar with this album and it's like i'm listening for the first time..

It's so amazing

Could you imagine if Gaga did this :firega:

I am so jealous of Swifties.

I hope she doesn’t have to. It must be draining having to go through that. Good for the fans because of the new tracks but yeah.

I first time I saw Taylor live was during the Reputation tour and when she sang YBWM & Love Story live, I immediately wanted her to re-record them and she served

I hope too, mostly because I hope she doesn't find herself in such an acrimonious situation regarding her masters, that must definitely bring so much anxiety. Creatively speaking though, from what Taylor has been saying, looks like it was a very fulfilling experience. She spoke a lot about her productivity during her teenage years being tied to her desire to create a musical diary for herself, so rerecording these must be like rereading an old diary from your teenage years.

Just talking about it, I get shivers haha. Makes me wish I had that sort of instant time capsule to preserve these precious memories.

I can hear the differences. This sounds so mature and... current?? I can't explain it. Could be my excitement for it, but it just sounds like she could have dropped it today for the first time ever.

So I'm not saying this to bash her, as I like Taylor's music...but I think one of the main differences is her voice is much, much stronger nowadays. She always had pretty vocals, but her voice used to be much thinner and less...consistent imo. It honestly feels like she had a vocal coach and trained/studied her as* off. All of her live performances, from what I've seen, have been pretty stellar from 1989 on and even her recorded songs have sounded much, much stronger since around the Red era.

Agree 100%. On the original first two albums, her voice was very immature which is to be expected given her age at the time, but it was also very shaky and weak on a lot of the tracks. I had a hard time getting into some songs, particularly on Fearless actually, because of that. I'm not having that issue now.

Taylor did what I was hoping JoJo would do with her re-releases, but JoJo didn't have the coins I guess.

THIS IS AMAZING! It's SO good. It sounds like the originals still but even better??? Really good.

Does anyone know- are the vault songs just unreleased songs during this era or just the lyrics and now she put music to them? I really like the last two and noticed they sound heavily influenced by her recent Jack Antonoff/ Aaron Dessner sound IMO.

It's hard to believe she only started re-recorded this in its entirety in 2020, in addition to tracks from other albums, in addition to writing evermore and folklore.

Like????

Honestly I don’t think Taylor was drained at all. I feel like re-recording these albums are super freeing and good for her mentally considering all she’s been through with her label screwing her over
