Gaga in Chicago

I just moved to Chicago last summer and a friend of mine said she lived here during the Born This Way & ARTPOP eras.  He said she would show up at bars and go to Cubs games with Taylor.  

GOD I would’ve killed to live here during that time.

i'm from the south suburbs, but I was still in high school when she lived in Chicago so there was little chance I would ever run into her  & the sox are better anyways 

kinda related but the fans who basically stalked her in Chicago made me uncomfortable & were sooo egotistical about it on twitter (god that's so long ago now)

I lived downtown during that time and people gatekept where she would hangout because they wanted to be the only people to meet her.  (ARTPOP era GGD stans would know who)

So many of my friends ran into her in random hotel bars, tho. We were in ~ art school ~ so they avoided asking for pictures and had really meaningful conversations with her as a result. GOOD FOR THEM, I GUESS.

Yeah if I ever met her casually at a bar or something I would just want to have a genuine, meaningful conversation with her and just kick back and enjoy the moment.  That’s way more valuable than a quick photo for likes and retweets.  
 

Especially since people begging for pictures with her is like a huge trigger for her, as we found out in the Sunday Morning interview last year.
