FYI, anyone who, and any movies that won SAG awards are traditionally winning Oscars since many of the voting members are the same people.

That’s a shocking line up of Actors/Actresses. Wouldn’t be surprised if that’s what the Oscars look like as well. Chadwick and Daniel are for sure winning but the Lead Actress is crazy right now, anyone can win it.

Chadwick Boseman and Daniel Kaluuya are definitely going to win their Oscars, and deservedly so. I think lead actress is going to be between Viola Davis, Frances McDormand, and Carey Mulligan. For supporting actress, I think it's going to be a toss-up between Glenn Close and Yuh-Jung Youn.

You don’t think Andra Day has a chance? Rami Malek and Renee Zellweger both won with a ~great performance in a mediocre musical biopic~ narrative. I personally think it’s between Andra and Carey as Frances and Viola have both won in the past 5 years, though I’d be thrilled if Viola got it.

This is the outfit that gave "best acting by an ensemble" to a superhero movie Black Panther instead of A Star is Born which had best actress, best actor, best supporting actor Oscar nominees and several other excellent supporting actor performances. What a joke.

Best Actress being between two black women now....

Nah I don’t think Andra has a shot in this. The Globes was a surprise win and that’s about it.

Before SAG I’d say it’s between Frances or Carey, but now it’s a three way with Viola in the picture.

Mulligan just keeps losing. She was supposedly the frontrunner at Globes, "because they loved her movie", she lost. She was considered as the frontrunner for BAFTA since she's won there before and this was her first shot at an Oscar since 2009, she was not even nominated. She was predicted for SAG, she lost.

Day's globe win is not to be underestimated, it's history! It gave her the visibility she lacked and after that, everybody watched her eat that thing up! Plus she's playing an icon (see Renée and Rami Malek!)

For Frances and Kirby, I'm gonna wait for BAFTA and see what they do but I could frankly see it go to one of those british actresses. After they all the backlash they got these past few years, they legit pushed Carey out to make room for more overlooked poc actresses, they'll probably go with one as the winner too. Besides, Frances is winning "Best Picture", so will they give her two oscars, in a single night? 3 years after her second win? idk... btw she's my fave in the line up!

I truly believe it's between Day and Viola, right now! Both are not only very strong in the race but they got the narrative too!

ASIB nom there was actually a surprise since it was a Gaga/Bradley showcase for the most part (and a little bit of Sam Elliott) the same way "La La Land" was for Emma/Gosling and that one missed ..."Black Panther" was deserving ("Crazy Rich Asians" would have been great too!) ... BlacKkKlansman was robbed, ASIB was not!
