This is all a big song and dance. There’s no way a group of cops is going to let one of their good old boys go down for this.

It's gonna be an uphill battle no matter what. It can go either way. 

As a simple fact of law, there needs to be a proof "beyond reasonable doubt" for a conviction.
People chanting for a conviction is just acting on their emotions. There isn't a clear proof beyond reasonable doubt for murder charges really because Chauvin applied a restraint taught by police force on a physically strong and intoxicated suspect who was not really cooperating, almost resisting the arrest. 

Based on this read, I personally expect Chauvin to be convicted for second-degree manslaughter but for none of the murder charges.
