Pot meet kettle. Your obsession with fawning over everything the elite left does is nothing sort of insulting

Luc wrote a very comprehensive and nuanced take on the policy and how to make it equitable and not hurt rural people disproportionately and you’re literally mocking them.

Nothing about this plan is equitable to rural America, it's just another plot by people like you (who despise everyone who doesn't live the hoity toity city life) to keep rural Americans disenfranchised because you think they're all a bunch of unworthy freaks. Keep up the ridiculous support, next November you'll be here sobbing and wonder why the precious left lost their power in DC...because of YOU supporting people who don't care about anyone outside of metros.

You remind me that it's such a wonderful thing to love.

Bro this isn’t even a plan wtf it was a 10 second sound bite about an IDEA with literally no details attached to it?! The idea that it will hurt rural people is a complete fabrication that you made up in your head. None of us no anything about what this policy would look like because it’s clearly not even at the point where it could be considered a policy. And there are plenty of ways that it could be done to ensure rural drivers aren’t hurt more than city drivers.

Seriously... who tf is this person and why are they coming for me so god damn hard?! CHILL OUT.

Dude you have this same energy toward me and anyone who does not worship Joe Biden and Co. You should CHILL OUT, too. There is nothing wrong with someone coming at you, I'm not personally offended over your challenges toward my points of view, even if I think you're off the rails,  it's cool. I don't hate you. I don't wish you any ill will. I take it in stride. At least we're getting worked up over real issues and not useless crap like album promo :ladyhaha:

This was an offhand comment from Secretary Mayor Pete but how would it be implemented? Self-reporting? Trackers installed in every vehicle?

No one knows because there is no details. This is just the posting of a sound bite to blow up left media sites with fake outrage.

We have racists and anti-poor members of this site. I genuinely cannot believe such people exist on a LADY GAGA forum. She would be horrified to hear that so many of her fans support such archaic measure to tax to death the poor rural working class. I hope the left loses big next year. They all deserve it for supporting such ridiculous measures to further destroy the working class of America. Get ready for years of alt-right leadership unless we have a radical purging of the liberal parties.

The left and the centrist libs are not the same hello... leftists have been dragging Pete ever since his first speech and it’s not let up since ☠️ Even some neolibs hate this idea. After this clip went viral, there’s no way it’s going to happen now...

When I first moved to the Orlando area and was working at Disney, I had to commute almost an hour because living nearby my job was cost prohibited. I think round trip each way was close to 75 miles 5 days a week. Then count in the tolls I had to pay because of work on the main interstate along with gas, I was putting all my paycheck toward just getting to work. I can't imagine having to factor in a mileage tax on top of that.

You're lying. Even Poinciana is only 20 to 25 miles from Disney with cheap rent 50 miles round trip. If you don't want to move that's your choice.

Aren’t you a landlord? You’re probably the reason someone has to move 30 miles away from their job in the first place :rip:

I personally love the idea, if you use the road more you should contribute more. People this could replace the gas tax, meaning it stays similar in and out of pocket for the average consumer, but trucking companies (think Amazon) that basically tear up our roads for free would be much much much heavier taxed, because their big rigs require the road to be repaired more often.

I’m a teacher in a big city. My school is a long drive away, and my salary is pretty pathetic (that’s a whole other discussion, lol). Just bought a place, so along with all the new taxes and payments, I don’t need any more. Roads are a necessity for most people, not a luxury unfortunately.

Well it's not 75 miles.:ladyhaha:. And it's not 30 miles it's 20 miles. That's a normal commute to a place of employment in a suburb.

He got caught in a lie and your response is I'm a bad landlord? Gurl whatever.

There is even rent controlled apartments in Bellalago now. :billie:

I did not live in Poinciana. I lived in Oviedo which is  approximately 40 miles to Epcot, where I worked for three years. Driving that route twice a day, round trip, was indeed around 80 miles. I did make the choice to move closer to work the last year I worked in the resort, but that was only because I found a large house with enough roommates to make the rent affordable. Again, you really shouldn't speak on topics you know nothing about. But thank you so much for trying to seem intelligent. :vegas:

Oveido? Why would you apply at Disney if you lived in Oveido? Besides your comment was quite clear when it says there was nothing cheaper that was closer to Disney. That is a lie.

You haven't offered any evidence to the contrary. Have you ever actually lived in Central Florida? What is your basis for such claims? I'm serious, please show me because in the five years I lived in the area, nothing near the theme parks was cheap compared to areas outside that bubble. Average rent around the theme park areas was easily in the low $1200's for a one-bedroom and close to $2,000 for a two-bedroom.
