Exactly. He doesn't have to like it, but he's trying to devalue it because it stands up for something he doesn't understand. Does he not realise that some of the best songs in the world talk about topics that other are too afraid to talk about? There's "music" in which he wants to make, and there's music which stands for something. Music doesn't always have to be serious, but I do believe as artists with a platform, if it doesn't have a purpose then you're using your platform in the wrong way. 

Maybe he likes to play a bit of bass/guitar, but he should learn that art isn't just one thing. I feel like his "explanation" is just a cop out to say what he really feels, which is that he doesn't like Queer people. You'd think working with Gaga on several tours that he'd be a bit more educated and open minded

He always acts like playing for Gaga is like some nothing gig that he took on his way to being a huge solo star. It's good to be ambitious but does he understand how lucky he is to have that position and how many are lining up to take it. There's nothing wrong with gratitude and humility.

Also, it REALLY doesn't take tons of creative energy to create outside of those topics - on insta you just draw cats or something cute to get those clicks - easy, also... is gun violence even a prevalent theme anymore? I really don't see it much... And if anything, people take you less seriously if your work is sexual, regardless of the actual quality - you're really much better off playing it safe... that's why it's called... playing it safe...

Sometimes when you try to explain a situation, you make it worse. I think he just did. "Practicing what I preach", right... but I guess that stops as soon as you get money  Also, he doesn't seem to have a problem with sex in music when he's playing onstage shirtless and making those thirst trap Instagram posts. Also, that ****ing annoying religious righteousness... These people wouldn't know the devil if they had him right in front of their noses. Maybe if more people taught their kids to be afraid of intolerance and bigotry instead of the ****ing devil, maybe the world would be a better place.
