Yikes, this blew up overnight. But I'm not surprised. I had posted about it in the lil Nas thread. Jonny has always been very unfiltered and I knew it was going to get him in trouble sooner or later. I get the impression that working for Gaga really is just a job, he doesn't give a fck about what her whole ethos is. He is really ambitious and wants to make it on his own and he gets frustrated when he releases new music and it doesn't pop off. He was bitching in his stories a few times that his friends and followers need to Unfollow him if they don't want to support his music 😂. I DMd him and told him he was coming off as very immature bc you can't force people to buy your music and he caht expect all Gaga fans to be into his type of music too. 

Last summer he was being REALLY "unfiltered" about white people too which yes I get that emotions were high at that time but it did make me feel uncomfortable and question how he can date a white woman if he feels that strongly...  

He's not a Biden fan either, he was posting some weird sh*t  around the time of the election and the inauguration.. I was like.. Your boss is very publicly backing him and performing for him, can you not just keep this to your WhatsApp groups. I was surprised he wasn't called out more for it. 

There's been other things too but I will say I don't agree that people should be fired just bc they have an opinion that y'all don't like. I don't like Lil Nas video or the WAP video either. I kind of get what he's saying about sexuality in music. I don't like how women are degraded in rap songs either. It turns me off listening. But I'm not gonna start complaining about it. I just won't watch. I get that it's making others feel freer so it's obviously aimed at them. Great! 

Jonny only started working for Gaga around the superbowl and she hasn't really done anything very sexual since then, has she? I mean on the same level as WAP/lil Nas which is more extreme than anything Gaga has done (besides AHS sex scene but that's different lol). Gaga doesn't grind on any of her musicians (besides Brian 🤣). 

He seems to get on great with Gaga's team, he and Montana are v tight with Sarah and Tim. I don't think he will be fired over it but I can't imagine he will feel v comfortable on stage after this but then again people move on from drama v fast and it's not like there will be shows any time soon. He does need to start remembering who the majority if his following is though... He seems to resent that he's not the star and I don't think he will stick around for long anyway if another opportunity came up. 

And yeah, coming across as homophobic to Gaga's audience is DUMB.

I get that he doesn't want music to be always associated with the sexual orientation of the artist, but artists write about whatever that inspire them, so if the sexual identity of an artist is seen as a source of inspiration, what is the problem in that?

I’m starting to get worried the Haus is just a bunch of talented hanger ons who like the attention. When the hell do we hear about Beyoncé’s messy team or Ariana’s or whoever? It rarely happens because those team members are probably more than happy with their lives and can stfu online.

I think people are really exaggerating about how "messy" Gaga's team is. Ricky (maybe) and Jonny. That's it. Y'all want to say that Sarah is messy just bc she rightfully clapped back at some of y'all for bullying her. Meanwhile everyone adores Sarah at Haus and she's clearly v popular in her industry too. 

Im gonna really push back on anyone who wants to blame Gaga for things her employees say or do. She can't control someone's political opinion and I'm sure she would love to have a conversation with Jonny about his opinions and she would do it calmly. She's also a very busy woman who we know is barely online herself and doesn't follow most of her team. 

If it was down to little monsters you'd have Gaga firing 2 black employees for their opinions at this time. As if that wouldn't get her dragged tf.

Perhaps her team is under a microscope than most others, but is that not more of a reason to maybe keep somethings to themselves? I get the backlash sarah got was wholly unnecessary, but also reacting to it was probably unnecessary too. A key word in this is professionalism, sometimes they lack it - look at all the leaks and everything that goes wrong. I don’t think it’s wrong to objectively recognise that.

Everyone is allowed to dislike a video, but there's a difference between "Why do all music videos have to be sexual?" and saying "I have to wash my brain/eyes (i cant remember what he said) with soap + why is the agenda of sexual preference in music?"

It's funny he complains about it with a gay rapper but goes crickets with everyone else.

If you read my previous posts you'd see that I also believe Jonny needs to stfu. And not just on this topic. He's very naive if he thinks he can talk freely on political stuff etc and it won't effect his career. 

I don't agree about Sarah. She was right to push back. People were being disgusting to her. Why should she take it? Now fans know she won't be pushed around. That's a good thing. This fandom needs to be reminded that you can't go around sh*tting on people with no consequence. There's not enough of it. 

 

The leaks have nothing to do with the Haus though? They have zero to do with her music dustribution so I don't get why LMs act like they do? Most of the leaks happen once its sent out to stores etc. Isn't that what happened with the CRC2 cover?

He's def given his opinion on other music too but I can't remember who or what. I do remember him saying he wishes black rappers would stop promoting gun violence though and black on black crime. I don't think he's lying when he says he doesn't sing about all those things in his own music but yeah the way he phrased it definitely could be taken as homophobic if people didn't know his general stance on how how he approaches his music. He should have just shut up and let people like what they like.
