Two vaccines are being given out here - the oxford one and an indigenous one - produced in the country. They started with the essential health care workers and then the government officials. This month they started giving it out to people above 60 and people above 45 who are with co-morbidities. From April anyone above the age of 45 can apply for the vaccine. At some point, life must go on. Banning travel in all forms would create a slew of old & new war time problems (joblessness, famine, civil war). Putting billions into harsh lockdown is not our way out of Covid. The minute you re-open, new out-breaks occur. Herd immunity is our only way out of this mess. Maybe all we can do is improve our healthcare systems’ capacities, get as many new vaccines for variants rolling every year, and just get on with our lives. I see no way out of this.
