Cardi, Doja and Megan the new Gaga, Katy and Kesha of 2020's?

I feel like the competition among these new rap queens is almost as stiff as it was back in the 10's for our beloved three pop queens. 

who will end up mimicking whose career? sorry for the silly question in advance, just feeling bored a bit 

I hope Cardi will be the Gaga of the rap girls, she's got that charisma and undeniable star quality imo.

Megan reminds me of Kesha, being the raunchier, dirtier one in the bunch.

while Doja is similar to Katy in terms of sharing the same producer / being the most bubblegum pop among the three. 

what do you think?

I don't really feel like the new pop girls are pulling their weight the way rap girls are doing it. Dua and Ariana being the only exceptions.

They somehow make me feel like they were Nicki incorporate with three of them's characteristics. But in the same time, they are more than that and fully different, ok and I wouldn't even put them together before I see this topic.

OP: Ya i def see it. Rap is what pop was at the beginning of the 2010s so it only makes sense that the rap girls are the pop girls of the 2020s. They're also carrying the weight that the pop girls used to carry much better than the actual pop girls of today (that isn't a dig at the pop girls of today, I stan a lot of them too, it's just a very different era in music).

now that I think about it, our girls were probably being egged on by the people in their teams to perceive each other as hostile threats. they participated in it willingly in some way too, of course, but the environment was much more different back then I believe. 

nowadays it's a lot more about female empowerement, women uplifting each other, etc. back then the mindset was quite different.
