People are wrong 'cause it's not 

It erupted 2.1 million years ago, 1.2 million years ago and 640,000 years ago with declining severity each time. At this point, it's more likely that plate tectonics will move the "hot spot" (the source of magma from the mantle) away from the park than it is for it to erupt like it did three times before.

Also, volcanos don't work like that we're "overdue" for an eruption just like we're "overdue" for a major astroid impact or Florida is "overdue" for a major hurricane. Those things don't happen in a regular clockwork sequence.

And even if it were to erupt, we'd have years of notice because it's one of the most thoroughly studied geologically active spots on Earth with easily predictable patterns

Tbf, It's not even a Disney park, it has it's own style. Also, it's older than any Disney park, they opened 3 years prior the first Disney park opened.

It's just they got to the conclusions that American attractions copies are not really working in Europe, it's a different culture.
