Economy 52,838
https://www.google.ca/amp/s/www.cbc.ca/amp/1.5957462 A study has found that the blood clotting that may occur from astrazeneca which is very rare is mainly affecting young women under 55 and mostly who are either pregnant, post pregnancy, and it appears to also react with birth control medications so women on birth control are also disproportionately more likely to get the clots The clotting is already rare to begin with but it furthet shines a light on what the biggest risk factor is. If you are a male or if you are a female not currently pregnate (or recently) or on birth control then your chances of getting this side effect are slim to none

They developed this vaccines in time record without the proper trials Probably. How many medications going thru years of process before approval and say its safe then 10 or 20 years later they then discover oh this medication may cause cancer or this medication that etc I used to have bad acne and went on antibiotocs and for a good while and wad assured it was safe. Shortly after i developed IBS. Now in the last 5-10 years theyve learned just how critical a healthy gut flora is and how antibiotics can harm it and cause problems (like IBS) so its something u should take only when absolutely necessairy, or at least be awarenof the risks so you can weigh the risks vs benefits in each circumstance. When i was on it over 10 years ago the knowledge about it wasnt as clear and i was just told it was safe Ill still take the risk and take the vaccine tho just cuz when u look at the risk that covid poses i still think the vaccines are a safer bet. They were also allowed to bypass some of the unecessary bureaucratic steps that usually cause why vaccines take years to be approved. None of the standard safety precautions were skipped into making and testing these vaccines. Some of these stages were just done synchronously to make it faster. I’d suggest you watch some of the Vox videos on these vaccines, They are very informative and well-researched.

Mother of Puppies 36,615
I am a bit concerned about the AstraZeneca vaccine because my mom had several strokes and blood clots when she was younger and spent 3 months in hospital... she had to learn to talk and walk again and she's allergic to heparin... We know that she will definitely not get the AstraZeneca one, but I hope she didn't pass on those genes onto me and my sister... Obobo 3,984
I love how people are still saying its 100% all good no problems. The issue isn’t short term side effects, its LONG TERM SIDE EFFECTS. Regardless if they went through all these steps with more funding, it doesn’t matter. They can’t detect long term side effects until time passes. Some vaccines in the past have a small percent chance to cause loss of vision and permanent brain damage only discovered 10 to 30 years or more down the line. Obviously its a small percent but some people can get very anxious with that small percentage. Hence another reason why vaccines in the past took 10 years, because they had to monitor test subjects to see what happens to them after time passes.
