There are so many pessimistic naysayers here. :roll: You know what would keep her from topping BR? The fact that people won't let go of the mindset that BR is the best thing she'll ever do and will never top it. How can she top it when others automatically dictate that it won't? I fully believe she can do it, I believe she already has. She needs to continue with her vision and work as hard as she can. Either way, at the end of the day if she believes she has done it than that's all that should really matter for her.

we need to stop complicating it all and just enjoy it when it comes out, without comparison to her other work but rather as something completely different. by finding ways to compare it or criticise it, we're actually ruining it for ourselves

Well then I think Michael Jackson songs are overrated. Everythink keeps getting called overrated. What is overrated!? It was a huge leap from any of her previous work, it was a catchy song which wasn't annoying *looks at gangam style* had great clever lyrics, and to top it off had a great video. It deserved the success it got and is one of her most iconic songs. So why is it overrated?

Because I personally don't think it's really that special and both Poker Face and Just Dance performed better than the song in the US (Poker Face worldwide). The fanbase favors Bad Romance, but the public favors Poker Face. If anything Poker Face should be the one that is known as her greatest hit.

It's not that. It's that I feel that for some people, no matter what she releases and how hard she works they automatically think it won't be better.

I know she works hard but the things dont always comes great. If she really works hard and writes songs for ARTPOP with the passion she wrote The Fame Monster people will pay attention to the best songs. I am here for topping Bad Romance but she has to work her ass off. I dont know how long it took to her to write BR. She has been working on ARTPOP for an year and half. Only time will show us the results.For example: Look at Stache. Its only a fun made track and ****s on a big part of BTW. Dont get me wrong. I like BTW but.... sometimes when you workd hard( as she did with BTW) things just dont happen.
