don't even, i have a good eye for humbleness, Gaga is authentically humble, Selena too, Billie is faking it, idc if you believe me or nawt giphy.gif

Thank you for putting my thoughts into words.

Like, I get that she's innovative and talented and for that I think she deserves success, but if you look at her type of 'humility', it's so manufactured, like she exaggerates the "oh my gosh you are beyonce oh my gosh you are so much more important than me Im just a no one who's just had a mini breakthru" act.

Yet when you place her alongside people like Katy Perry, Britney Spears, Selena, Gaga, there's a sense of maturity in these women that I can't see in her.

Maybe... cuz she is like 10-20 years younger than any of those ppl? Literally from another generation?

If you MUST compare women, wouldn't it make more sense to compare her to other 18 year olds like the Tik Tok stars? When you compare her to them she seems extremely mature

Billie is much younger than any of them. Also like... not all people are the same?? Megan was literally having a meltdown next to Beyonce on stage and I don't see anyone calling her fake humble and fake star struck??

Yes, I do agree that age plays a factor here.

But Megan was 'meltdowning' over Beyonce, a black woman who has inspired her when she was a child. Beyonce is the reason Megan became a star. Now I don't think there's anything wrong with Billie fangirling over Beyonce, but Billie was meltdowning over Ariana Grande and Megan Thee Stallion, one is her peer (Megan) and the other (ariana) is too new to be considered as a legend like Gaga or Beyonce or Britney.

Also if everytime somebody gives her an award she goes like "I don't deserve it you do", how does that make the person who didn't win feel? Sitting there losing a general category Grammy listening to Billie Eilish talking about how they themselves deserved it even though the Grammy is still Billie's? That ultimately that Grammy is gonna be sitting on Billie's shelf rather than Megan and Ariana's?

nope i’m not new to her but her releasing a song on soundcloud in 2015 doesn’t mean she’s been meeting celebrities that whole time

She's 19. I think people keep forgetting that fact because she looks mature and her mannerism can be quite mature. Opposite to Ariana, she's 27 but my perception keep telling me she's young, like early 20s, but I think that's part of her branding.

Yeah I kinda get it, humblebrag kind of. Maybe she just don't know cope with the right manner of humbleness. Like she doesn't want to be prideful person, but lack of maturity to express humbleness. So just let's appreciate her effort than nitpicking her. Nobody hurts tho, except the award nominee in the category Billie won maybe lol
