Same thing with Gaga. Many complain about how Gaga has "lost" her touch. I think Marina is way too underrated.
Runway 27,876
She doesn’t have pop or indie credit. Shes in a limbo where she’s not an indie artist but also not a successful popstar

Shes in a limbo where she’s not an indie artist but also not a successful popstar I think her sound is definitely more inclined to indie than pop. I wouldn't for a second view her as a pop star wanna be. She's been very true to herself to the point of saying that Electra Heart was basically an album her record label pushed her to do, and that's her most "mainstream" album, which says a lot about her effort to not create "bops" just for the sake of fame or charts. She's commited to her music and she's not trying to be Rita Ora, Rihanna, Bebe, Halsey, she's trying to be herself and her music shows. Her music has changed but that's only logic when an artist is maturing. Other MPG are obsessed with getting hits and charting and put out "bops" with senseless lyrics and beats that pretty much make up for the lack of their artistic integrity. Marina stands aside from all other artists of her generation. C'mon let's look at Rihanna that well into her decade long career she put out "Work" which was a hit but it is honestly a bad song (IMO). I don't even think that Marina is interested in pleasing her fan base. She uses her music as a tool of true expression not as a way to appeal to the masses. Don't mean to offend all other artists mentioned because everyone has a different goal and wanting success, number 1 hits and fame is not bad, but Marina seems unbothered by all of that. I think her lyrics (most are very unique) and have been overlooked. I mean people praise Lana del Rey and being honest I think Marina has better songs than her, even though neither have been nominated. Lana was nominated for album of the year. Lana is literally one of the most influential artists of our general.
Butters Stotch 5,364
Should've been nominated for any of her three first albums. She just has not had the impact others have had. Sorrily, Grammy's sometimes depend on popularity and she isn't quite known amongst the general public. FIND YOUR FREEDOM IN THE MUSIC

StrawberryBlond 14,820
The biggest obstacle is that she's British. The Grammys are notoriously biased towards American artists and very few non-Americans have won. It can be hard to even get a nomination. The only Brits from recent times who have/had a successful relationship with the academy are Adele and Amy Winehouse. To be noticed when you're not American, you have to create work that is universally known and successful and Marina's never achieved that. Also, she doesn't get hits and her work really isn't highly acclaimed at all. Her highest MC score is 75 and everything else has been 68, 57 and 62. It's very hard to get noticed when those are your credentials.
MadreMonster 2,584
I think Froot could have easily gotten a nomination for Pop Vocal Album but she’s not that big over in America. And her fan base isn’t strong enough to bring in any views for the Grammys. Unfortunately, that’s what they want when they nominate artists
