Mother of Puppies 35,664
Any Coldplay fans on here? What are your favorite songs? I usually love everything they have made with one exception... I didn't really like their last album "Everyday Life" it's the only one that I don't really like listening to (except for 2-3 songs) I really hope they will fnd their "old self" again with the next album ( I heard they're working on new music) My favorite songs are: (just to name a few - I have SO MANY) Magic Miracles (Someone special) which is one of their best songs! Something just like this Midnight (especially the live version) Talk And also - Death and all his friends - Don't Panic - Green Eyes - Fix you (and yellow) - Strawberry Swing - Paradise - Fun - Adventure of a Lifetime I have plenty more that I love so much... what are your favorites? And did you like their last album? THEY CALL ME LADY MOP

joaomggd 124
I wouldn't say im a fan, but I love ghost stories and some songs on the blue room ep. which i heard recently and became rly obsessed with (and ofc all their hits, they're normally really good) Was actually curious abt their new album, saw some youtube video where they reviewed it as good and underrated cuz no one even knows they have a new album out. youandi 2,110
I LOVE THEM and so nice to see some love here I get everyone has different tastes but it's a shame you don't like Everyday Life - I think it's gorgeous, and the quirkiness is so interesting to me. I'm shocked at you not liking it much if you're wanting them to find their old self as it feels very inspired by Parachutes and Viva La Vida in places to me while delivering something new too although I guess it's worlds away from from MX and A Head Full Of Dreams if that's what you mean. I have love for each album though and can't wait for Music Of The Spheres I think Coldplay are quite a misunderstood band amongst a lot of music fans but for different reasons. Some people don't realise how accessible yet layered their music is, whilst other people think they've gone overly pop ala 'Imagine Dragons - Evolve' or Maroon 5 when they really haven't. Some of my faves are: All I Can Think About Is You Strawberry Swing Death And All His Friends Up&Up A L I E N S Us Against The World (Silver Bird Version for the megafans) Arabesque Midnight Viva La Vida Warning Sign But like you, I've got so many and my favorites change all the time

But i heard bits and it sounds rly interesting and different, thats mostly what sparked my curiosity too. I thought they we're going full very commercial pop after the chainsmokers collab but im glad to see they havent
Zeitgeist 228
I am OBSESSED WITH Viva I had like a 3 hour breakdown after hearing Death and all his friends for the first time ArtRave 03.10.2014 Hamburg / JWT 24.01.2018 Hamburg
Freezie03 957
I like them a lot! My favorites by them are Shiver, Yellow, The Scientist, Clocks, Fix You, Speed of Sound, Viva la Vida, Magic, A Sky Full of Stars, Hymn for the Weekend, and Adventure of a Lifetime. They have a lot of great hits. I grew up with them in my childhood because my parents controlled what I listened to as a child and would always turn on the Adult Top 40, where they were most popular. I forgot "All I can think about is you" and "warning sign" too.... ohhhh gosh how I love their music (right now listening to "god put a smile upon your face" again) I mean, I do like a few songs from "Everyday Life" but I dunno... it just didn't grow on me... I really tried... and I really do LOVE all their other albums... like all of them... just this last one... I was actually very disappointed when it came out and I only liked like 3 songs. I really hope I will love their next album again, because I have been a huge fan for far more than a decade... I think I became a fan in 2005.. If you like Coldplay, I'm asking myself if you know the band "Keane"? Their style is a bit similar... as far as I know they don't do music anymore... but they have such good songs too THEY CALL ME LADY MOP

I thought they we're going full very commercial pop after the chainsmokers collab but im glad to see they havent I think the guys just enjoy experimenting with different styles and are pretty open-minded musically and sonically, which means they are confident doing a collab like with the Chainsmokers then going away and doing their own thing, totally different in musical direction. So many bands have a sense of snobbery about them even though musically they’re not all that (looking at you, BRandon Flowers) but Chris and the others seem pretty chill. Shame people are so snobby about their music. Sure its corny at times but its reliably decent at worst, amazing at best buy bionic

Hopefully the next one will be out soon Yes I like Keane They're one of those bands I don't listen to much but I should listen to more as I really like the songs I know well. I think they started making music again the past couple of years but I've not checked it out yet
LDGA 1,260
Yellow and Magic are my fav songs from them. I used to be a big fan of them, until that colaboration with the chainsmoker happened. I have not heard the last album they released, is it worth? Did they come to their roots or kept the mainstream route they were taking?

Did they come to their roots or kept the mainstream route they were taking? Slightly 'roots' like but also really new - it's a bit divisive though. There's only one song on there that comes close to the 'mainstreamness' of A Head Full Of Dreams (although they've been mainstream since there debut really), and even then it's a really good song, just a nice slice of band style pop - it's called Orphans

Sister 9,907
I am not really a fan, but I have some good life nostalgia with the two hits Yellow and Speed Of Sound, which perks me up dreamily any time I come across hearing each song, so I am grateful. Also, I always Thank Chris for bringing out Richard Ashcroft with him during his LIVE 8 set, he didn't have to do that, but HE DID and I am happily grateful, again to him. It was a fine moment. The future's uncertain and the end is always near.
