He was invited by Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.), who chairs the panel. Bezos and Amazon are currently in the midst of a debate over unionization efforts, which both Sanders and President Biden have weighed in on. I guess Bezos is the media's punching bag for "bad billionaires." Also Jeff Bezos already stepped down from his position. This is just another media coverage stunt by Sanders. Weird how the CEO of Walmart wasn't invited when they only pay $11 an hr. Oh that's right nobody in the media knows his name. Amazon workers are still subject to terrible working conditions and told lies about unionizing to scare them from it. I just read an article about an Amazon distribution center in Canada being forced to close because over 200 of its workers tested positive for covid. What good is making $15 an hour when you're working in literally deadly conditions? Bezos is scum of the earth. You remind me that it's such a wonderful thing to love.
