Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos will not appear at a Senate Budget committee hearing on income inequality and the wealth gap, per CNBC. He was invited by Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.), who chairs the panel.

Bezos and Amazon are currently in the midst of a debate over unionization efforts, which both Sanders and President Biden have weighed in on.

Billionaire refuses to care about the workers he's exploiting. Shocking.

Sanders wants to raise the minimum wage to $15an hour by 2025. Bezos already pays his employees $15 an hour.  I guess Bezos is the media's punching bag for "bad billionaires." Also Jeff Bezos already stepped down from his position. This is just another media coverage stunt by Sanders.

Weird how the CEO of Walmart wasn't invited when they only pay $11 an hr. Oh that's right nobody in the media knows his name.

Amazon workers are still subject to terrible working conditions and told lies about unionizing to scare them from it. Not to mention that their $15/hr is thanks to support from progressives like Sanders

Oh what a martyr he must be, paying his employees $15 an hour. A true hero who also directs anti-union campaigns. Yeah, such a saint.

The transparency with being so bitter about anything mentioning Bernie you have is :ladyhaha:

The neoliberalism and how quick you always are to defend it and your precious capitalist elites on the other hand is :awkney:

The disdain and carlessness you and these billionaires have for everyday working people jumped out!

I just read an article about an Amazon distribution center in Canada being forced to close because over 200 of its workers tested positive for covid. What good is making $15 an hour when you're working in literally deadly conditions? Bezos is scum of the earth.

You remind me that it's such a wonderful thing to love.

Yeah because unions like the police union that back Donald Trump are great. They are good but just like anything if they promote a corrupt leader it will be bad for everyone.

Imagine being a Bernie hater and constantly clicking on his threads. Reminds of most of Gagadaily and Billie Eilish! The only good reason sis keeps clicking is because she's on her way to figuring out she's not a neoliberal after all and wants us to prove her right
