I just assumed they would sound different and she would switch things up but I guess it makes sense they would sound pretty much the exact same if she wants her fans to stream these versions instead of the old ones, if they were different fans would probably still listen to the old ones as well

Ok Swifties let's do the math, in December Taylor dropped the LS snippet for a dating app, and the song was released on Valentine's Day weekend.

So this movie comes out in June, and the song might be on the movie so I think the song could be dropped in April/May or June and probably 1989 will come out in July or August.mp3

The vocals actually sound a bit different to me.. they sound a bit deeper.

Could be the quality of the audio and the trailer too though..

i love this re recording thing she is doing and it seems like she is already monetizing the new recordings by attaching them to movies and commercials. Like that new Love Story version was in some commercial I think and now this Wildest Dreams re recording is in a commercial for a cute kids movie. She's super smart tbh. The ppl that now own her old masters will have to compete with Taylor herself with the exact same material lol. They will keep losing while her newly recorded catalog will keep increasing in value over her old one.

She said all along they would be newly recorded versions not re-imagined. Wisely she recognises what the originals mean to her audience.
