Over 65s can have it it's fine. All the way upto 90 Yr old have had it in the UK and its working just fine. Literally millions of people over 65 have had the shot. I've had astrazeneca and I'm 30. Was fine. Slight headache for few hours next morning.

I'm 27 and I had mild flu symptoms afterwards: headache, slight fever, body aches and chills. I felt a little lousy (especially at night), but really nothing severe - got mine Friday afternoon and by Sunday I felt completely normal. My parents are a similar age to yours and they had milder symptoms than I did and for less time too.

I wouldn't be worried at all, but I would expect to feel a little crappy - although it shouldn't put them off, it really was mild for me.

Here in Canada a little over a week ago the Province of Quebec decided to start giving it to people over 65 and so far no issues

It's going great, people are taking whatever vaccine they can get because the efficacy has been proved with real world data. I don't understand this astrazeneca hate train.  I think it's political UK vs EU personally. We have administered over 11 million astrazeneca shots and about 13 million Pfizer. BOTH shots are proving to be about  80 percent effective with one dose.

Awesome. I cant wait to get my shot also because my manager might be on extended leave this summer and i have to take over which means i cant miss a day of work unless its an absolute emergency so i cant afford to get sick 

 

Also do u guys have issues with ppl who dont want it? From my experience is seems like between 30% to 50% of ppl are highly skeptical of the vaccine. As in i think we might be almost as bad as Americans

Hoping you get yours as soon as!! We just had another 10 million doses arrive yesterday so I expect it to speed up again for us.

We have had a little resistance from the BAME community but not too much as they've ended up taking the shot eventually. They have set up vaccination centres inside the mosques and things to try and encourage confidence. overall I think last time I saw its been between 89-96% depending on age bracket. Which is surpassing everyone's expectations.

Bame is black, Asian and minority ethnic. The term they've been using here,

 

We invested heavily in infrastructure when the pandemic started to be able to produce the vaccines here, we have 2 big manufacturing plants, so we're making them in house.

Oh yeah thats useful. We wont have production capacity or rights until end of 2021 or early 2022 so were reliant purely on imports

 

This month march is the first month its reallt ramped up cuz December, January and February we literally only gave a few hundred thousand each month

When's the projected end date then for adult population to be vaccinated  have they even said? We just about to hit 50% by end of this week.

I do believe there's a bit of sensationalism going on here. They've found no correlation so far and out of millions you might got a small handful of cases where patients have an adverse reaction or complications. Even though it's essential to monitor the rollout and any adverse effects these headlines do no favours encouraging people to get vaccinated. It's only worth reporting when there is an actual correlation resulting in an unusually high amount of cases.
