Because if this is another huge success, she might venture even more into acting, while I (and a lot of other fans) especially love her for her music. That quote of "I wanted to be an actress before I wanted to become a singer" continues to baffle me, because (even though what you're best in isn't necessarily the thing you like the most), I think almost all fans would agree with that she's a WAAAY better musician than actress. I don't know that this story has the mass appeal needed to beat a Hollywood budget + marketing. Him and his wife have been working on this for over a decade!! This movie is like a child for them. The fact that it is finally being made and he has Gaga starring in it with this A List cast is HUGE.
