Nycboy 988 Posted March 9, 2021 Share Posted March 9, 2021 I just had THAT moment of realization: that the Gucci movie and era will be huge for Gaga. The same thing happened to me with ASIB. At first I thought it was just a random movie, a nice side project, and a distraction from her music. Then, all of a sudden around September 2018, Gaga was serving killer looks on her press tour as rave reviews trickled in. That's when it clicked for me that it would be a major career-defining moment. Obviously, further acclaim, Oscars, and Grammys followed. I don't think any of us saw that coming when we first learned about ASIB. So I just googled the film House of Gucci, and it turns out that Gaga is the LEAD. Why aren't we talking about this more? For some reason I just thought she was a supporting actress. Not only is she the lead, but her costars are so incredibly talented and well respected (Al Pacino, Adam Driver, Jared Leto). The director Ridley Scott's movies have received 40 Oscar nominations and 7 wins, and one of his films (Gladiator) even won Best Picture. If this doesn't sound like a recipe for success, I don't know what does. Seriously, I'm excited. Chromatica was great, but this is way bigger. Although I've been following GGD for Chromatica updates over the past year, a switch went off in my head as I realized I now need to obsess over GGD for Gucci updates. For those who complain that Gaga doesn't give much to her fans, I'm seeing the opposite. Honestly she's not giving us a break between Chromatica in 2020 and Gucci in 2021.
