Massive success. I think she will rival her success in ASIB but actually take home more trophies for her role.

It can in no way rival the success of ASIB and expecting so is just delusional. This movie won’t do that good in cinema considering the fact COVID is still and will still be here realistically. It will go streaming at the same time and on Paramount+ that is not successful at all. BUT this doesn’t mean she won’t get her Oscar and succeed in that context.

If it goes straight to streaming then no. It needs to be released on theatres and have the same circumstances as ASIB in terms of accessibility.

It's so hard to say. This isn't the kind of movie that's typically a huge blockbuster hit, more of an awards-season type drama, and those can be smaller. Plus even with the vaccine, who knows how theatres will be doing. They might only give House of Gucci and limited theatrical run before it goes to streaming. I'm just hoping it's critically well received, that's enough success for me.

I will see it in person if I can though! I'll be vacc'ed by then, and if it's playing near me I'll be there opening day

If Gucci does go straight to streaming, will they release physical copies of the movie? I'd rather buy the blu-ray rather than stream it especially if it's on Paramount+ which I don't have any intention of starting a subscription for.

Knives Out made 311M and American Hustle made 251M, both against a budget of 40M, both having strong casts and being helped by Oscar nominations. House of Gucci is going to be release on theaters and streaming at the same time, plus COVID-19, so my guess is that it will make 170M at the very best, which is still enough to make profit. These movies are meant to be remebered by their critical acclaim and awards, not blockbusters, and I think it's good that Gaga is making this kind of movies first, because blockbusters are usually pretty bad and if they don't end up being a massive box office success, they can damage an actor's image a lot, and with the pandemic going on, we won't see one of these until December at the very least (which is why Marvel is pushing back over and over again their films). If it makes more money it'll be cool, but i wouldn't get my hopes high.

I'm only good at being bad

Depends how Covid goes but if theatres are open then I don’t see why not? A big name ensemble cast, Gaga’s fan base + GP interest in how she’ll do in her next acting project, star director, interesting plot, Gucci ties, violence, glamour, scandal... sounds like a smash waiting to happen to me. I don’t really understand this talk of it being a niche project; it’s A-list from top to bottom! It’s not a blockbuster, but it’s hardly a little indie film either.

I dont think it will tbh, It may do well but I dont think its gonna be a huge hit. I may be wrong though. I think what could do extremely well is The Little Shop Of Horrors remake.

I think we won’t be able to tell until the trailer.

This. Most of us believed ASIB would flop, and when we saw the trailer, we all instantly knew that both the movie and Shallow would smash hard

Lets go back to replies for this very same question when ASIB was being filmed.

People were even saying Shallow would only have Perfect Illusion success. We just need to wait and see.

I would prefer Kingsley Leggs as Audrey again to me he had the best voice for audrey.

it's more like a niché film i think not meant to be as big and culturally relevant like ASIB was

That was the story before ASIB and look what happened.
