Actors and actresses don't act 24/7, and they can love just like you or I can

Still, don’t trust her. She doesn’t love Harry.

Oprah is live on cbs this morning and she said Queen Elizabeth and prince Philip were not part of the conversations about archie’s skin color

So Meghan disclosed in private who it was about? Why not just say if Oprah is going to drip feed it

Honestly though.

A Prince and Duchess, that left Royal life by choice, doing an interview with Billionaire Oprah Winfrey in the middle of a global pandemic and mentioning that the future King of England cut them off and he had to survive off his mother's fortune gave off big

vibes.

I didn't take it like that at all. He isn't being cut off as a teenager because he's lazy and crying about it. He was a working royal and served his country, then decides to leave because they aren't getting any support and are not allowed to seek support elsewhere. Immediately getting cut off without any transition period is a huge security risk. They aren't everyday people or even normal rich people. Everyone knows where they live. If my family did that to me, I would be really depressed and saddened by it, as if they didn't care for not only my well being, but my wife and child too. He wasn't saying it to gain sympathy or expect people to open their pockets and give them money. It was to show that they are not being supported financially by them at all, and how shocking that was when it happened suddenly.

It was used to justidy their decision to launch a podcast, produce Netflix shows etc. As if there aren't any behind the scenes jobs available.

I am sure they participate in many behind the scenes jobs but that's not really how they can have the most impact. They have the social capital to work publicly.

As far as I know, producing a TV show IS a behind the scenes job. :emma: Are you expecting them to take uncredited job offers as gaffers, despite companies offering them better?

If you read my other comments in this thread and not just that, you will see I'm not anti-Harry or anti-Meghan by any stretch.

As I told another user:

"He is accustomed to a certain lifestyle, but there are also genuine security concerns (which he mentions) that are expensive to resolve. When he said that, if it wasn't for the wealth he inherited from his mother, he wouldn't be able to afford the security him and his family needs I don't doubt it. Especially in the U.K."

I think it holds true that there is a lot of depth and importance in revealing this story and exposing the Royal Institution for the outdated, out of touch, racist, classist, cold, imperialist garbage that it is.

I think it holds true that Meghan's experience is tragic, that she is a strong woman, that she has helped expose the institutional racism and classism that runs deep in U.K society.

I think it also holds true that moments where an Ex-Prince discusses having to rely on his mother's multi-million dollar fortune and Netflix deals comes across as a little bit tone deaf in a world where income inequality is a hot button issue and the world is in the middle of a global pandemic. I have no doubt it was a struggle for him. I have no doubt that if I lost $75,000 Diamond Earring at the Bottom of the Ocean I would be upset. But also: Kim, there's people that are dying.

From what I've read everybody in the UK knows Prince Philip and Charles are huge racists who can't keep their mouths shout. IDK how things are culturally there.

Producing can be a high profile gig (see Shonda Rhimes, Ryan Murphy). Think of the dozens if not hundreds of names in tv/film credits. They could work for a think tank, all sorts of things that have major impact but are out of public eye

I don't think we're allowed to share pirate links on this website.

Why would you expect riots LMAO I'm pretty sure 70% of the UK population thought questioning whether Archie would be "too dark" is a valid concern. Who do you think started the transatlantic slave trade?
