Perhaps they were just pondering the baby's general appearance? I don't doubt that Meghan experienced racism, but to suggest Archie wasn't going to be made a prince because of him not being 100% white is ludicrous - the royal family would never be allowed to do that. They have been trying to cut down on the amount of royals made princes etc because there are so many children, so I think this may have been the reason why Archie wouldn't have received a title. The children of the Queen, the male-line grandchildren, and the children of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge (William and Catherine) are entitled to go by the title “Prince/Princess.” Archie as great-grandchildren so did not qualify for title.
