when you can't back up your points you choose to go this route which makes no sense at all :rip:

No need to get all sassy and sarcastic just because you disagree.

You want a back up point

What about Gaga saying how much this collab means to her and how she loves BP?

In Zane Lowe interview, in Gaga Radio

Stop assuming what she feels

red wine, cheap perfume and a filthy pout

But my argument is NOT that the Academy wouldn't let her perform Sour Candy. My points were simply indicating a pattern by various artists. The patterns as stated were that typically most artists performs either ballads from their albums, huge hits from their albums OR tracks that they gave special attention to. Did I lie when I said Gaga did no such thing for Sour Candy? No because simply put she hasn't? So that fits the bill of NOT being a song she has shown lots of love to, not being a huge hit (as it was not a single) and it is not a ballad.

Additionally, I did not say she hates the song or dislikes it either. You are placing statements in my words that I did not make. I simply said that it was perhaps a song that she is NOT that into because it hasn't been shown lots of love compared to other tracks on the album that she dived more into during her few interviews this era. This does not mean she hates the song or even dislikes it. It simply means there are other songs that she has shown more attention to which kind of gives them higher probabability of being performed at the grammys.

My post is simply to let ppl know that getting hopes up for a Sour Candy performance is a little bit illogical not only because Gaga is likely NOT performing (as we both agree on) but that there are proven patterns that most artists follow (including Gaga). Ballads, huge hits or songs an artist has show lots of attention to. Again, Sour Candy doesnt fit any of these descriptions.

Thanks for giving me your reasons etc..I literally enjoy these types of posts a lot more cuz we can have constructive conversation and debate (which is what you usually do so I was surprised you answered in such a sassy way earlier lol :stalkga: )! We can agree to disagree I guess on this one (although I dont really see how there is anything to disagree with in my post seeing as it simply indicates a pattern that most big artists follow when performing at the Grammys) but I respect your opinion.

I replied that way because sometimes it's very tiring to come up with a fully developed argument that answers all the points of disagreement we may have with each other. I apologise for that.

I see where you're coming from, but the third criterion "a song that the artist must have shown some attention to" is too vague for me. I think it depends. If there was no intention that SC would be promoted after the Grammys, then it is a bit odd to predict an SC performance, but if there was an intention to release a music video shortly after it, then it makes it more likely that SC will be selected.

Regardless, the line-up is announced and she ain't showing up. :interestinga:

They teased 26 people yesterday, it's possible she could be announced closer to the show. That being said, for me the Chromatica era ended after the 911 Gagavision and remixes so I expect her to send someone to collect any awards on her behalf if she even wins anything from her two noms (I understand 2 noms is better than none but she and The Weeknd were hella snubbed while Bey got 7 and that's coming from a Bey stan)

I know baby it's just cause I don't want people to be delusional and then disappointed again :runhug:

I'm sure one of these is Adele as heavily speculated, then probably Ariana, Drake, Bruno Mars and maybe The Weekend, which would cause a lot of buzz

Oh yeah I've accepted the "expect nothing to be surprised than expect everything and be disappointed" mentality. I doubt Abel will perform after they completely snubbed him.

Just like other “evidence” from the era :huntyga:we are not forgetting the Oreo pr letter saying “music’s biggest night”

That may have just been topical though sis... Like just referencing music in general because at the time Grammys delayed  (just don't get too excited i mean! lol)

Stare at the Chartster in the mirror they talk to me too. #StreamFunTonight

yeah sadly our fav isnt there which is so annoying tbh :cryga: and no need to apologize at all! I actually get where you are coming from. It makes sense tbh

Yeah I do agree that if there were ever an intention to release a mv for Sour Candy that the Grammys would have been an incredible launching pad for it...but alas Chromatica era is over for sure now :(
