i’m not even gonna get it / haven’t gotten the 600 because i didn’t do my taxes for 2019; kind of jumped around and one of the places i worked didn’t send me my w2 and i literally went there asking for it like 6 separate times 😣 so damn annoying

You can get any of the two stimulus checks from 2020 by doing your 2020 taxes and getting them as a rebate on line 30 of your 1040, if you qualified in 2020.

Tbh progressives could play hardball just like Manchin and threaten to vote no unless $15 minimum wage is included, meaning it wouldn't pass in the House without them as only 6 of them could prevent it from passing.

But of course MSM and liberals would gaslight them all the way and blame it all on them eventhough Manchin and Sinema were the real perpetrators here.

That's just how it goes. Progressives use the same tactics and maneuvers as these corporate hacks and there's a huge uproar and just accepted as okay and no big deal when the others or Republicans do..

That’s a terrible idea. We are one week away from Unemployment supplements ending. People who are Unemployed, or even working with fewer hours, need Unemployment assistance now!

Schools need funding now.

Small businesses need assistance now.

The lower class and working class will benefit greatly from this bill, especially children living in these households.

We can’t hold food, rent and unemployment assistance hostage and play games with people who are desperate need of immediate help.

It was never going to pass any sooner, passing things through budget reconciliation takes a lot of time vs a regular bill because the required process is much more complicated and time consuming, especially for legislation this large.

I want $15 minimum as much as anyone here (even more because that's still not the cost of living), but we knew since the first few weeks that the minimum wage was probably not gonna pass in the stim package. Dems need to fight and fight hard, but we need to continue to put pressure on dems who want to act "moderate" to give up the charades.

We need to abolish the filibuster like they won't just ****ing do already. Then just pass all the bills they want. They could vote on everything the house passed last term in no time but here we are months into this administration and Senate with still not 1 large bill signed. We need unprecedented changes at unprecedented pace if we are going to survive as a nation.
