This is so dumb. I'm not even like...a big fan of Taylor...but people can get so crazy about her. She has the right to complain about a joke (a joke, that in context, basically implies the woman being compared to Taylor is a sl*t). If she had directed her stans at people (like she did with Scooter and her former label) by saying "let them know" I could at least understand the outrage...but she did no such thing.

Also, I looked on twitter and I see maybe like 4 people who went after the actress? And I'm usually pretty sensitive to racist stan behavior (I've called monsters out for it before plenty of times). It's f*cked up and wrong, but a handful of people going after the actress (most are just in the replies of the Netflix account) does not equal "Taylor Swift incited a racist hate mob" like people are trying to say on twitter.

This is why I can't be a fan of hers. Maybe I'm wrong, and I'm not saying she shouldn't complain about the way media treats her, it's just that she makes it look like everything is a tragedy for the world. She needs to calm down.

If a television show making a cute, harmless, joke triggers you to the point you need to call them out publicly, you may need professional help. This would be no different than a show like Family Guy or American Dad making a dig at Taylor. Her behavior towards this show simply reinforces my opinion that Taylor is an immature woman who refuses to take responsibility for her messy life. It is beyond sickening. She needs to grow up, for a change, and stop pretending to be some flaw free saint.

Some of you are really obsessed with Taylor. I am not a fan, but why do you all call her a victim when she's literally just tired of being made fun of for having a few boyfriends in the past. There are many male artists who also have many girlfriends growing up and constantly write their music about that - but only Taylor who is demanded to be prude, shy and quiet is being judged for having many lovers. 

 

Imagine if yalls straight Family Member would constantly make fun of your hookups at family gatherings. Talk about them, make jokes about STDs and whatever. How would you feel after hearing the same jokes for over 10 years? at one point it's not a joke but internalized misogyny (or in that case homophobia).

 

Also, even if Taylor Swift is playing the victim?! Shouldn't she speak up when she is uncomfortable or does that only count when it's something that half of GGD hasn't made jokes about?
