Yeah, it doesn't benefit anyone watching alone or even a couple of people, but for a family of 4 or 5 it's a huge savings to only spend $30 to watch at home when watching in a theatre easily costs $10-$15 a person. There’s definitely an appeal to movie theaters but I can see how bigger families might prefer streaming. I’d be okay with them selling digital copies a month or so after the theatrical release. If something is streamed on Disney+ the same day of the theatrical release, I might only go to theaters for special movies and not so much for little comedies. It's stressful for parents to take their kids to theaters and pray that they behave –– it's much easier for younger kids to watch movies at home where they can scream and run around till their hearts' content without annoying other filmgoers.
