You can't convince me otherwise Yeah the US healthcare system inflates costs like crazy cuz its a business but i also just meant healthcare in general In Countries with Universal healthcare where patients dont pay its still often the biggest expense for the government is healthcare The US spends almost double per capita as an average developed EOCD Nation... half of US costs is still insanely expensive My Province spends almost 45% of budget on healthcare... when a budget includes: Healthcare Education Debt Interest Infrastructure (roads, bridges, electric system, water plants etc) City municipal transfers Law enforcement Social safety nets Tax credits and subsities Beaurecratic agencies Miscellaneous (everything else i didnt think of) Think of it... healthcare alone is almost half of Government budget and Canada doesnt even cover dental, vision care, prescriptions and a bunch of other things like some countries do either because they are privatized here Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...

I had 2 c sections. 3 days in the hospital for each. The hospital bill was $89,000 for each. I paid zero. I have great insurance. One of my babies was in the NICU for 2 days. $45,000. If anyone turned up at A&E not one person would have to pay a dime, not even parking. I couldn’t imagine ANY accepting having a medical bill. Together You And I!
