It doesn’t make sense, unlike the past fusions we’ve had. About the starters, I really wanted to choose Decidueye but I really hate it it looks like skull kid. Spoiler there isn't, it's actually grindy to fill the dex and get the whole 237 pokemon (out of 240, arceus, shymin and darkai don't count), you need to finish 9 tasks for each pokemon to finally fill it's pokedex entry.
