Lion Heart 15,041
GameStop chief financial officer Jim Bell is set to resign from his position on March 26, the video game retailer announced today. He’ll do so $2.8 million richer thanks to a lucrative severance bonus. According to SEC filings first reported by IGN, the contract Bell signed with GameStop in 2019 affords him a severance bonus of double his combined annual salary ($700,000) and annual bonus opportunity ($700,000), resulting in the $2.8 million windfall. This news comes after a year that saw GameStop close more than 400 stores and left regular employees without the same support, unless you consider forcing them to do TikTok dances for holiday hours comparable to rewarding a departing executive with millions of dollars. https://kotaku.com/gamestop-exec-leaves-with-2-8-million-severance-1846340815 ▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀

FATCAT 60,888
I really wish the company would just fold already. Their record when it comes to how they treat their workers and their safety is just criminal. Besides that, there's no way they can compete with digital sales direct from manufacturers, and the waste produced from physical copies of games is ridiculous when most people can get them at the same price from a download. (Not to mention the fact that many, many games don't have physical releases) This kitten over here (meow)
AJRocketMan 2,684
Executives already make outrageous salaries. Those severance bonuses and annual bonus opportunities should be given to the workers.
Fresco 1,688
The stock is running again and it's moving up dangerously fast. This kind of trading is a gamble, only bet with what you can afford to lose, if you trade it. And people could lose 90%. Stores get closed, employees get unemployment and executives get golden parachutes. The talking heads on tv are saying that there is enough money sloshing around for somebody to want to buy it just for promotional purposes, cuz it's not a very big company.
