TaylorSwift 162,460
One of Svalbard’s most loved and longtime residents has died. The cat Кеша was an attraction of the Norwegian archipelago in the Arctic Ocean and the only representative of its kind there. Fluffy was 14 years old. In the 90s, the Norwegian government banned keeping cats on Svalbard. Cats were recognized as dangerous carriers of infections that threaten foxes, arctic foxes and polar hares, humans and also threatened the extinction of some bird populations on Svalbard. In the 2000s, Russian shift workers secretly transported the ginger kitten Кеша to the island and during the census of inhabitants and animals recorded him as a polar fox. Кеша became incredibly popular among the locals and tourists lined up to pet the animal and take pictures. source source https://store.taylorswift.com
