Two women aged 34 and 44 attempted to pass as over 65s in Florida in order to jump the queue and receive their Covid-19 vaccines ahead of schedule, authorities have said.

The two women had apparently managed to secure one dose of a Covid-19 vaccine already as they had cards from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

But they were detected by officials and reprimanded when they turned up at a vaccination centre looking for their 2nd dose.

On one hand glad they are being made an example of to hopefully prevent others from trying to skip the line. At the same time, they should’ve just given them their second dose if they did indeed have their first one.

There isn’t really any way for us to verify the health conditions that people have so the only reason they got caught is because they tried to lie in a stupid way instead of a smart way, but all the smart liars aren’t getting in trouble at all :’) But given just how stupid they are, vaccinating them would probably prevent a LOT of spread.

That's what I'm thinking... Here we have to bring our ID card with us + a valid medical report in case we mentioned having chronic diseases to make that the person really is a priority

I mean yeah shame on them for dressing as old ladies or something but in the state of Florida they’re at least trying to get vaccinated for a deadly pandemic.

I think the damage from the message it sends if they let them get away with it and that its ok to do this is far worse than 2 ppl not getting the booster

Not to mention if they got the booster again they woulda again taken vaccine from a priority group

Atm theres still more demand than doses available so its not a good thing to try and jump a priority group. Its not like those shots wouldnt have been given out if they didnt take them

I would get ur point if everyone that was willing to take one in a certain group already got it and now they got to the stage of trying to convince facebook moms that it doesnt alter your DNA and turn you into a mutant and doses were going ungiven cuz they were having a hard time finding more ppl...

But were not there yet

There wouldn’t be a news story if they got away with it though, so no message to send.
