Economy 52,844
https://www.google.ca/amp/s/www.wearegreenbay.com/weather/beyondtheforecast/ice-cover-increases-dramatically-for-great-lakes/amp/ In the last week and a half Great Lakes ice cover has quadrupled to just over 40% overall coverage after a mild winter suddenly turned into a cold snap since early February The Southern Lake Erie has the highest ice cover percentage at 79% Ice coverage in winter is considered critical to lake health in part as it prevents evaporation and helps maintain water levels. However because water levels have been so high last few years evaporation is actually not a concern at this time However ice cover which blocks sunlight has other lake health benefits such as helping kill and put a brake on algae growth which the species of fish on the lakes cant tolerate high amounts of. Lower ice cover along with hotter summers are blamed for more frequent deadly algae blooms 40% is still a lower than average peak ice cover

Not horrible but not great The long term average is 53% peak coverage so were still a fair bit below

My area loves to swing from one extreme to the other... hot humid brutal summers yet freezing winters... Worse of all the swings often happen quickly and sometimes were lucky to get 2 weeks of comfortable in between spring or fall weather Its happened a zillion times that in the same week the AC and heating desperately had to be on just days apart but that comfortable temperature in between is nowehere to be found I miss Portugals climate... none of this bipolar weather madness
