Many legal scholars argue that federal student loan debt falls strictly within the purview of Congress’ commerce, spending or taxing powers, and that an Executive Order issued by the President would be an overreach of constitutional authority as a result. 

The legality of the President’s power to do forgive any amount of student debt would likely make its way up to the Supreme Court to be adjudicated.

But then less students would be admitted into schools though. While higher education is free in Europe, the acceptance rates are a lot lower and the requirements and tests to get in are a lot more strict.

Even though I believe education and healthcare are rights that should be given to every citizen for free (I'm European), I think that people have way too high expectations about Biden.

People literally had the lowest standards for Trump and now expect miracles from Biden. You're still in the US, be realistic. These changes are not gonna happen in 4 years, especially when they were never planned in the first place.

Hopefully he follows through with the 10k he mentioned during the campaign.

We aren't expecting miracles, but he reneged on the 2K checks, won't increase the minimum wage until 2025 and now is not being bold about the debt relief. Following the disastrous Trump presidency we need bold moves from Biden, or the public will lose faith in the Democratic party. Sorry, but don't run for president if you are not up for the task of being the most progressive president in modern times, we need it more than we have in decades.

I'm not sure what you mean by this? There's always a limit on how many students can attend a school. They won't deny you a spot if there are any left. If there's no spots left, you have a ton of other options all over Europe for free and with social help for the people who can't afford to live away from home.

If you really want to go to college, you will get in. And the requirements are not that high. All you need is a 9.5 out of 20 to finish high school. You'd never be able to pass with a grade like that in the US.
