"Every ice age in the past started during periods of global warming when the carbon dioxide levels where much higher than they are currently"

I believe 'its obvious' human activity is having an effect on much of the earth bio systems, including climate, but Global weather patterns are much to large an complex for what humans are doing at this time imo.

The problem is that we're delaying the next ice age by tens of thousands of years, and hastening sea-level rise. Many many people and cities will be underwater if we don't act on a global scale before it's too late, and in some places, it already is.

The next ice age is a "when" and not an if, yes, but we are disrupting and delaying it. We're trapping more and more heat than we should be, and that trapped heat will raise sea levels as ice shelves on land continue to melt into our oceans.

I mean weve known for a long time earths climate goes thru long term swings. It has cycles within longer cycles... earth has at one point in time been even warmer than it is now and it survived

The big deal tho is the sheer speed of change... the shorter term cycles tend to take hundreds to thousands of years to occur while longer term cycles up to hundreds of thousands of years

Humans have managed to warm up the earth over an entire 1 degree Celcius in a mere century.

The pace our human induced warming is creating is frighting because it provides very little time for adaptation or stability

A bit off topic but one day water levels will cover a lot more than now as it will rise hundreds of metres when antartica melts tho thts far into future...

Earths land mass will shrink considerably

As the Ice cap's melt, some of the oceans will rise, sure.  But as a previous post shows,  different salinity levels will keep bodies of water separate.. so that's one factor not touched yet by climate predictions..

Secondly,  ocean levels have risen and fallen with the glacier formations and melts in previous iterations... so the sea level issue needs more research to determine the best course of action on how to 'adapt' to climate change..

Green energy is a better climate option ,  like many proposals suggest, but I disagree with the effect on climate change ...

Big Oil opposes green energy primarily because of profit loss... duh!
