After Snyder shot the film WB fired him and hired Joss Whedon to direct reshoots because they wanted it to be lighter in tone like a Marvel movie. The version that came out in 2017 was 70% reshoots footage shot by Joss, and it was a 2 hour movie. And it was extremely horrible This version is Zack's uncompromised vision. He likes to over shoot and then cut down in post. So he has about 4 hours of footage and the original idea was to cut it down to 2.5-3 for theaters but WB didn't want that. Now they're giving him full creative control so he's giving us everything he shot - It's almost 4 hours long. He also shot an additional 5 minutes of new footage last year just for this release (the Joker scenes). 20 minutes ago, JusKeepBreathin said: Because Justice League was a mess thanks to king of misogyny Joss Whedon. Who took over the movie half way through. Now WB let Snyder finish his original movie. Oh wow that’s so cool that they allowed this version to be released "My name is Dita, I'll be your Mistress tonight..."
