The fact is right-wing media has successfully fooled people into believing the election was stolen from him and that Democrats are satanic pedophiles. We can’t move on from this moment so long as those people are still brainwashed.

That's the problem with TV media ... it's not news,  it brainwashing 101

like a cat in a sil, I observe life, moving and still. My words give a clue, look inside to see whats true

This is awful news.

Not only was justice not served (yet again), but this means his supporters now have hope for a future re-election, and their hateful passion will be reignited for the next however-many-years.

If he was convicted, the MAGA movement would've slowly dispersed (to a degree) and those people would have returned to living normal lives and not hyper-focussing their hate in the name of their movement.

We really lost this time

I'll be myself until they fūcking close the coffin.

Republicans have problems, big problems, and because of their cult problems we all have problems.  I have lost confidence in impeachment trial by the senate. It's pretty clear that for Presidents, impeachment is partisan politics not justice. We need an amendment to the constitution that allows the supreme court to decide the case, if the vote is like this one was.

I wish Biden godspeed with his objectives, because the midterms historically go badly for the sitting president's party. Though frankly, his approval ratings are very good. Good job Biden.

It’s okay. The system is corrupt and it’s not surprising. Atleast he is out of the office now. It’s time to leave him in the dust and move on to bigger things!

Don’t play with me, it just hurts me.

Not surprising, it's time the democrats move to prevent him from running again by invoking the 14th amendment (a section allows congress to prevent someone from running for office for insurrection). It requires a simply majority in both chambers which they have.

57 is enough. The rules need to be revised!

It's built in to the constitution, so the rules aren't going to be changed. Yes there's a process to modify the constitution, but it's a long process that's even harder to navigate. The best we could hope for is a modification that makes 55% or something similar force a vote on removing their ability to run for office.

With how partisan SCOTUS has been I don’t have much faith in them either, but it does seem like a real alternative.

I think a super majority ensures that if someone is impeached its because they truly deserve it
