Monster Voices 1,024 Posted February 12, 2021 Share Posted February 12, 2021 Well a bunch of people have gotten Bell's palsy (paralyzing half your face) from the vaccines so this is not surprising - extreme immune responses. I am very pro-vax but I find it infuriating that whenever a new rare side effect pops up everyone just goes "don't share this, this is spreading fear" - no hun, I need to make an educated decision! Supersonic 49,376 Posted February 12, 2021 Share Posted February 12, 2021 There is no other news sites picking this up and it's been more than 11 hours since the article was first published, the type of vaccine that was used is not mentioned and even the article itself states “There is no certainty about the association between vaccination and the occurrence of this syndrome, which is usually related to an infection and in most cases, the patient is treated.” It is worth noting that on December 14, 2020, British neuroscientists announced that they had found no link between COVID-19 and Guillain-Barré syndrome. This neurological condition can lead to paralysis and sometimes death. So.... I'm inclined to believe that the vaccine actually had nothing to do with the sudden symptoms. These articles keep popping up on his FB timeline and he thinks they're deadly. But of course he drinks other stuff that is not even FDA approved. The paralysis is temporary and only lasts a few weeks-- she will recover. I can't remember the name of the syndrome. I dunno, I'm not an expert. It doesn't have to be though. My friend recovered in about 6-8 weeks with physical therapy and other treatments.
