Guest SetMeFree
I feel so left out of the loop. What else has she said besides the jew analogy and the beep/bop/boop thing? I feel like Cancel Culture is really coming for anyone who says anything remotely sensitive to others. Someone please fill me in.
Fresco 1,688
I'm disappointed ... in all involved, I guess. I liked her character. She's an undefeated mixed martial arts fighter. Her real life matches the rebel fighter she played in the show.

It’s called being held accountable and having consequences for your shitty actions which is not a new concept in any workplace, let alone just in life. Disney and Lucasfilm are not obliged to continue to employ anyone that spouts hurtful nonsense in public, damaging their brand in the process. Especially when the Star Wars franchise is popular with so many young people. Time to let go of this idea of the PC brigade “cancelling” everyone. I agree to an extent, it's just that I have seen so much worse said before. Her actions don't seem to equate to the punishment (in my opinion), however, even I would've known better than to be making Jew comments while working for Disney, the multimedia conglomerate that is operated and owned mainly by Jews, so realistically, she set herself up for that one. I can relate with that and I think what you say is not completely wrong. I've recently been treated as a sexist macho just bc I was holding the entrance door of a restaurant for a woman coming behind me... There was room for gallantry and courtesy not so long ago. But that's it, no revolution occurs without chopping some heads off. Then things mostly balance out... Regarding miss Carano... yeah she never struck me as the most intelligent one in the room. So maybe this explains that. Late to the party but I got a diamond heart

She’s working with Mr. Ben “WAP” Shapiro on a movie Good luck to her. They shoulda just killed off her character in the first episode of next season and that’s all. "There is worse" is not an argument for anything. We are talking about this instance, not anything else. Just because people have gotten away with worse (when they shouldn't have), doesn't mean that people shouldn't be held to account for what they say. Then again you don't seem to have much of a care for the gravity of her antisemitic comments yourself, which is pretty gross.
