This is ridiculous :saladga:

This mutual gaze was a “longing to touch” or a "pre-coitus" stare.

Those are strict rules. If everyone follows them, it might not be bad. Will everyone follow the rules and wear their mask, no. There will be concessions, eating and drinking and masks will be off. So, this will not be for high risk people. The low risk youth however can party on.

This doesn’t seem like a good idea considering cases are at an all time high  rn

Cases are half of what they were 2 months ago

I don't know where y'all after getting the data that anyone who wants a vaccine can get one by the end of March. My 70-something-year old parents are on three vaccine lists and still don't have an appointment, and they're told it could be weeks if not more than a month. I highly doubt the general population will be vaccinated this spring.

Venues reopening is simply about profit, pure and simple, not about public health.

Daddy Fauci himself said anybody and everybody that wants a vaccine will be able to get one at the beginning of April.

I'm sure that'll change when we see numbers spike in two weeks because of the Super Spreader weekend - both the event and parties.

All I’m saying is that my local health department has said differently. I hope he is correct however.

Edited to add: This is Fauci's direct quote, my emphasis:

“By the time we get to April, that will be what I would call, for better wording, ‘open season,’ namely, virtually everybody and anybody in any category could start to get vaccinated,” he said Thursday on NBC’s “Today” show."

What he is saying is that all phases should be eligible for vaccination then, but guess what,  my parents are eligible now and they still don't have an appointment. Being eligible doesn't guarantee you will be vaccinated at that time. Also, note his use of the word "could." This is a conditional verb; there is no guarantee that everyone will be vaccinated by then. Moreover, this thread is about venues opening on 2/23. Fauci's quote is talking about April.

You fail to realize not every country is giving vaccines to their residents at the same pace. Some may finish within a few months, but some won't even be done until a few years from now.

And you fail to realize that they wont keep everything closed for years

I am so happy to see more states restoring some normality back into people's lives. We are long overdue as mental health crises are at the all time high.
This could be a rather successful phased reopening as long as they remain adherent to these stringent requirements and guidelines.

Cyber Babylon

EVEN the venues reopened I'm sure that a big stadium still can't be using it's full capacity, and The Chromatica Ball is not even selling well:bear:
