Dua reached out to Rita's manager MANY times when she was first starting out. Rita's manager at the time was her own sister. Dua thought that because Rita is from Kosovo like her, 5 years older than her and she was very young, vulnerable and living alone in London that she'd try to help her out a bit and take her under wings a little but allegedly Rita viewed Dua as a potential threat to her success in the UK so she told her sister not to contact Dua anymore and she also apparently even contacted her record label to not sign Dua or something like that. Years later they re connected and they seemed to be ok / on good terms but apparently they never fully got along after that. Bebe and Ava have stated they would 100% do this collab and I think even Rita said she would but Dua still feels uncomfortable and I cannot blame her. Sure she may be ok with Rita overall but I don't blame her for not wanting to help elevate Rita's career with a collab when Rita didn't help her when she needed help the most as a young new artist living alone in the UK and needing guidance.

AGAIN this is all alleged and came from Dua Lipa insiders on ATRL & Twitter I believe. 

I don’t think this is accurate at all. Rita had a complicated history with her label and at that time of 'supposed beef' with Dua, her label wasn't giving Rita much attention. Sure she released a few singles here and there, but after 2015 there was silence until 2017/18. Her label wasn't confident in her at that point in time, and there's no reason for her to try stop Dua's rise. Even in the UK. Rita was in a battle with her label since her album 'Ora' didn't do that well despite the numerous hits and success she had in 2012. And even when she did release a lead single again, it took a whole year and a half before the album came out. 

Rita has been very supportive of her fellow Albanian/Kosovan artists like Bebe and Dua, and has congratulated them many times and wished them the best. I don’t believe they were ever on bad terms or that they even had bad history for eachother. Especially if it's 'charts' related... that sounds like someone made it up. Labels get the decisions on what to do with their artists in terms of success, not the artists or their managers. 

Maybe Dua just isn't into doing a collab like that. Maybe she or her label feel that it would be a waste of time. There are many reasons why someone may not want to be in that situation. But I think that story is made up.

why would dua have anything to do with the other girls when she’s literally on top right now  

im sure Bebe meant well but something seems off with the way shes like “i wish female artists could come together but some really don’t want to”...like the other girls MUST collaborate with her or something.   anyways
