3OH!3’s sound is notoriously overproduced and harsh, so it’s pretty notably on brand. Idk what in the hell they’ve been up to since 2009 but for both them and Rebecca Black (of all people) to pull this out of a hat is just kinda fun? It’s also pretty self-aware of her tooI think. Idk miss girl might be on to something

Not gonna listen to it regularly but turning Friday into a hyperpop track is ****ing brilliant. PC Music producers took what people hated about Friday in 2011 (cringey lyrics, usage of autotune, poor mixing) and turned it into a whole genre that gets acclaim from Pitchfork.

The public HATED Friday until it was looked back with fondness and 'why were people so mean? this was actually a bop!' nostalgia, and they're definitely gonna do the same with this remix 10 years from now.
