Yeah but the more infectious ones dominate... it only takes 1 of the 600 becoming worse (more importantly more infectious) for the situation to get worse

 

There have probably been tones of weaker  mutations already were not even aware occured because they are more likely to die out

 

Theres a reason the variants that have taken off are worse :bear:

Tbh. As i said, the worse and stronger and more contsgeous ones are disproportionately way more likely to become to predominant strains in the first place

 

A more contageous variant will have a higher spread rate... a mutation that makes it weaker or less contageous is more likely to die out or at least never take off enough to become one of the dominant strains :shrug:
