If there's a film that should never ever be remade it's this one. The new one will never be able to recapture what made the first one so special. They should leave it alone.

I don’t mind when people remake classics. It really doesn’t impact the absolute iconic nature of the original in my view. It’s just people who love the story and want to give it their own spin. 
does this mean they’re good or better? Not inherently. But it’s just art, if we don’t like it then we don’t have to consume it
