It's not really the insurance/ID thing I see an issue with regardless. It's the fact that potentially thousands of people fewer will be able to get vaccinated, thousands will wait weeks or months longer than necessary, and all because DeSantis is on Publix's payroll. It's pure greed.

Oh, as an added bonus, Julia Jenkins Fancelli (the "heir to the Publix fortune") gave $2.5 million to Republicans last year and also donated $300,000 to Trump's January 6th insurrection rally.

One of our senators, Scott, voted against certifying the election results. Both he and Rubio plan to vote to not convict Trump.

It's just trash all around here.

Maybe the public health departments aren’t asking for insurance? (They should though, they need money too).

But I 100% guarantee every private entity that is administering vaccines is.

 

We use driver’s license numbers if people don’t have insurance. We can still give it to people with neither insurance or a license, but it’s not preferred. They want people registered in the vaccine database’s for easier tracking and data management.

Interesting. Yeah in my state and those around me, you don't need any ID whatsoever. You don't even have to prove that you're a US citizen, you just drive up and give them your name and birth date.
