I am all for both political parties trying to work together and I do commend Biden on referencing unity as much as he can. HOWEVER, if the republicans aren't going to play ball and they refuse to give Americans another $1400, then democrats should plow ahead. They have the majority power to do so. Also, Republicans had a "counter" that wasn't even above 1/3 of the original bill. They weren't serious with their negotiations from the beginning. That’s what they are doing. Biden made it clear to congressional Dems that they can’t be stuck in negotiations and nothing happen. Dems are already quickly moving to pass his 1.9T stimulus plan. It should hopefully be passed by the 9th. They still control the senate congressional committees because Reps are stonewalling senate Dems so they don’t remove the filibuster like Republicans did before.
